This is the Ditty Bag pattern by Keyka Lou made into a Turtle! I basically just made hexagons, top stitched them on some green cotton and made the bag the rest of the way just like the pattern instructions except added legs, head and a tail. He is a little like another one I've made in the past....

Thanks for all the comments about the Oliver +S shirt in the previous post-they made me laugh:) I will definitely do a giveaway so the 4 or 5 people who wanted it can enter the giveaway on a separate post. I just need to know if it's ok that if you win the shirt, you'll have to buy your own buttons and make your own buttonholes. Ok?

I. LOVE. IT.
You took that bag and made it your own!!! It is so totally cute. Please tell me you are going to try and sell a couple....
Cute-cute turtle! Yes, I'm fine with giveaway... I just wanna play!!!
Ever thought about giving sewing lessons?? You can make a lil cash and help us domestically challenged mamas become more craftsy!!!
HAHA that is so funny! I love him!
@Keeley - Jennifer is an awesome sewing teacher!!! I don't sew a lot, but what I do sew is because of Jennifer and taking classes from her!
@Jennifer - That turtle is unbelievably cute!!! I LOVE it! And I would love to learn how to make button holes on that shirt. Well, maybe I would practice on something else first :-)
Thank you Margaret! I don't think that's true but thank you! You totally made my day:)
Mrs. Barr: I have thought about it! I hated teaching classes at the store in Stuttgart but have thought about doing one-on-one with ladies in the community. Are you serious about taking classes? I'll email you!
Corinnea: you now how long it took to make that Turtle?? So I'm not sure anyone would want to buy one with what I'd have to charge. Unless I got faster ...and the 2nd one would go faster since I have the kinks worked out...We'll see...:)Thanks for the encouragement!
I LOVE it!
This is genius & adorable!
What a smart idea to use different patterns and turn it into a lovely turtle! Really beautiful.
Hi, I know you posted this a really long time ago, but the link to the pattern is gone. I was wondering if you might still have the pattern and could post it? I am trying to find patterns for small bags that I could use for backpacking. I have 5 children and buying all the special ones that cost 15 each would put me in the poor house since we each would need several. While I might not put the effort into making turtles exactly, I am hoping to make some like the others you have posted about. Thanks!
Hi Lia, I guess that pattern is not available anymore and I can't just post it since I paid for it. I don't think the pattern maker would like that! But I did type in "small zippered pouch free DIY" into google and you get a lot of links for similar pouches. I hope this helps!
