Which One?

I think I like this top one the best.
I didn't even bother messing around with the other photos I took because none of the poses were as good as this one. She was either trying not to smile or slumping or looking surprised, etc. I think trying the Girl with the Pearl Earring is an excellent idea Kelly! Lisa suggested the Mona Lisa..any other ideas? It was fun except that I almost killed Emily. Not by accident. But because she was making this the most difficult she could. I aged 10 years yesterday:)

I like that one too. Everything about it fits; color, texture, tones.

Did both of you age yesterday? That'd make Emily almost 15 right? Oh yikes.

Wow... I didn't see your post before this and was about to comment that this is so reminiscent of Frida Kahlo... hahahhaahaha! well done! I like that top one, but I also have an affinity for the top left one... Did you photoshop in the unibrow?

It's so hard to pick. I think you need to print them all on one card and look at them that way. We used to have some printable canvas in supply........ I have no idea if it's still in the classroom. I'm not sure if I like her face faded so much on the first one. I think I favor the one from the other post. But they are all great and any would work!

Thanks adrienne, i really want to do other pictures with emily. Kelly: we should do the girl with the pearl earring. you as the model! Kara: I only photoshopped the wrinkles out of the backdrop. that will teach me to not iron it first! I used actions and textures on it but that's it. I used eyebrow pencil for her eyebrow. I should have done it darker.

Jennifer! I love it! I originally opened the window on my phone (which is obviously not like viewing it on a computer) and just saw the main image of Emily and right away, I thought, "Wow - this totally looks like one of Frida Kahlo's portraits!" Then I scrolled down and saw that's exactly what it was meant to be. GREAT JOB! Wow. It will be so fun for her to look back and see this photo....even if it made both of you age!

Love it, it's my favorite as well, they all look good though and I was torn between that one and the one that has hte border on it and is really aged.. I think it would look AMAZING in an oval frame of the period. Very cool job!!
