Simplicity top (#2931) with sleeves from Butterick top (#5217).
Fabric is Mercer Street by Robert Kaufman.
I think I'd like the top better out of different fabric. I'm not used to wearing prints! Emily took these photos (I cropped them). I had her take LOTS because she couldn't hold the camera steady or half of me is cut out. She did pretty good though.
This fabric is the same stuff I made Emily a shirt from. Just a different color..

I haven't hemmed it yet and I want to shape the sides a little so it's not so boxy and dumpy looking.
I really really want to make this top! It's so cute!

LOVE the top! I see what you are saying about the patterns I think I would have just used the bottom one for the whole thing (personally) but it is really cute I like the butterfly pattern!
I would have to try making the shirt in all white or black it's a great pattern very flattering.
Yes they have Zara here but not all over the place I think I saw it in orlando... no I am worried though I am 99% sure we have it here. I miss h and m we dont have one of those anywhere close their kids clothes are SO cute! I like both dresses but the H&M one wins for me!
The tops are really nice! I like the square-neck and puff sleeves, and it'd look good on any figure. And Emily's new dresses are very pretty. I think I like the blue one more b/c blue's my fav. color-plus I think it stands out more, but they're both cute!
nice work! Ok, I tried to post a comment on your previous post, but ???? Don't know what happened..I liked it, though! ;) I LOVE those dresses you got Emily! I've not seen a Zara here, just in Kuwait. There stuff is AWESOME!!! I miss H&M, too. I like the shirt you made, the patterned on is pretty, but the white and green is very cool! Hope you had a good weekend :)
That top is really cute, very flattering! I can't decide which dress I like better on Emily, they're both so cute.
I am sorry I feel like a broken record did you get my email about the invites and wondering where you got them (the ballon ones) printed? I am sorry to bug you! I know you are busy. Mom said to just write you again and see... I can't find them on snapfish and I figured that is where you got them so I am at a loss...
I really like it! I like the one you linked too, too. You have the skinny arms for it! :)
Emily, cute as always!
Jess, I did email back twice (to whatever email you originally emailed me from)! Did you check your spam folder? You probably think I'm a jerk! It's Kodak Gallery, Accordian Fold cards. Again, I'm so sorry! I've emailed you many times before and not gotten a response so something is happening to my emails to you. I emailed twice about the patterns you sent me (I owe you $$!!).
Jess, there is a Zara in Orlando. I only know this cause my sister in law likes to shop there. You can be 100% now =-)
That is soo funny no I haven't gotten any emails from you wierd! It's not in my spam I looked everywhere. I didn't think you were a jerk I was just wishing I had your phone number! And I was wondering what was up because you usually are so fast at answering! If you want to send something for the patterns then send something you make I like trading... if you are cool with that!
I just looked up the cards and those are AWESOME!! I hope I can sell the woman on paying for these!! (I really dont want to put together 80 invites right now)
Mary- Thanks for confirming that I kept meaning to look it up.
You are making me wish badly I was in Germany! I love the top and wish I could get some guidance from you on my projects! You are so talented !!!! I love the fabrics, what a great job!!
Both dress are super cute. Yes, there are some Zara's in Miami. I think slowly but surely they will eventually be everywhere. By the way your top came out nice. Can't wait to see it on you.
