Finished projects

I finished the two Sophia Carry-alls I had started ages ago. All I had to do on one of them was sew a couple of stitches inside the lining (literally a couple of stitches on each end of the zipper)and the other one needed the lining put together and then sewn into the bag. I guess I was "over" the bag and put it aside even though I had only a tiny bit left to do.
The bags are for Emily and Ava. Emily's is the Elephant and Ava is the Butterfly's.

Bag pattern is Amy Butler, Sophia Carry-all. Fabrics are Japanese imports from etsy and Superbuzzy. The lining fabrics were bought at the Heidelberg store about 3 years ago and I don't want to get up and see who they are made by:) If anyone wants tips on making this bag, feel free to email me.

Here is a shot of the lining on the pink-handled one. I ran out of star fabric so I had to use something else. Not happy about that but oh well..

And the lining for the green-handled one. The rick-rack is my favorite part about both bags!

Here's Ava wearing the yellow Simple Servant Frock from here (it's the one I made for Emily). And I finally finished the Oliver+S Swingset Top for Keara. I had started this ages ago too. I'm hoping it will still fit Keara even though she's 1-1/2 years old (it's an 12-18 month) but Margaret says she's small so we'll see. In case you think you've seen this before, I made Emily the same exact top but in her size last year.

When I had Ava we worried that Emily would be jealous and mean to her...who knew it would be the other way around! The above photos are of Ava shoving Emily off her seat! She gets SO mad if Emily sits in my lap or Jon's or if Emily sits in a chair that Ava had her eye on. Emily gets upset too but she's not as mean as Ava.

That sounds like me and Cecilia, she's been the boss for as long as I can remember. I always thought it was a height thing. She was also so very possessive over my mom, that's how I ended up being a Daddy's girl. The good news is now we're best buddies, but I still can't make a decision without consulting her first =-) She'll proudly tell you she's the boss.

I LOOOVVVEEE the bags. I am trying to figure out how to steal one of them at this very moment!! I love the pics of the Ava being mean that totally cracks me up. I am pretty sure I was like that to my older brother (well both of them for that matter) but you would have to ask my mom.

Too funny withe the girls on the chair! My baby girl also shows her muscle and might when her big sisters try to ovver power her and do it "their way" she pipes up quick! I love that, as she is super sweet, but in those circumstances, I feel proud that I do not have to worry about her ever growing up and getting walked on! That's what older siblings are for I guess.
I love the outfits you make always and those bags are perfect for over bight trips or carrying goodies in the car... Or Anything really! I love the fabric, you did a great job!!
Oh, and my word today is "dibletsp" better than last time I guess ;)

Yay!!! I love the top! It should fit still. She is still a few ounces under 22 lbs. She also still wears her 3-6 months jeans. They are just capris now. A great way to recycle!!
An update on the mushroom pin. I had it in my pocket on the way to the post office and got there and it wasn't there. I thought I had lost it. Then I started my garden and haven't done any felt stuff lately, so I kinda forgot about it. Sorry!! Well, I found the mushroom today. Well, the kitties found it and were playing with it. So I am going to make a new one this week and you can have one that doesn't have cat hair and drool all over it!
I love the bags you made for the girls! They turned out so nice, and how cool for them to have something so unique! You're amazing as always.

Oh Jennifer! The bags are soooooo gorgeous! I will be asking you for advice cause I HAVE to make one. The rick rack inside.... genious!

The girls kill me. Looking back, I wonder how I made it through some of those days!!! I should have taken pictures too, then I could give each of them a poster size photo of their faces frozen like that.....

I've been meaning to tell you how much I like the bunny slippers (they are so soft!- Ava stares at them when she walks sometimes, it so cute and funny)And also the bags- I saw one today when you brought the girls over, and the pictures made them seem bigger than when I saw them in person, but they are still so nice! I'm alittle jealous- ok a lot. :) Also, I had never known they made gigantic clothes pins till now- good ideas!! Again, sorry about the bubble-maker! It made me want to go out and buy some bubbles anyway haha. Still a kid at heart I guess.

Love the bags! Maybe someday, I get the courage to make me one :) The tops are soooo preeeety, I one one for me! Poor Emy, it reminds me of my sister and me, of course me being Ava. We now can't live without each other. It will get better promise:)

The bags are absolutely lovely. I've had that pattern for ages now and haven't even got it out of the packet yet...

The top and frock are adorable.
