Garden Party

I made this top again from Oliver+S. I love this pattern and the fit is really good on Emily (it's a size 2t). The fabric is Garden Party by Anna Maria Horner. I got the idea for the ruffle at the bottom from this flickr person (thank you flickr person!). The animals in the pictures were Emily's doing.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the back of this dresser? I need to wall paper it or paint it or something! I hate that you can see it in pictures. I know that someday it might be against a wall but for now I need to do something to it. There is a seam down the middle with clear tape on it (it came like that). What to do?? I like the idea of wall papering it or something similar. maybe tiny polka dots..The quilt Ava is laying on is part of the new bedding I got the girls from Pottery Barn Kids. It's the Brooke Collection. It will look better with the owl sheets, quilted shams and Owl pillows that are part of the line.

That shirt is SO cute! I do like that little ruffle SO much! I'm glad you mentioned that quilt, because I looked at that pic and thought, "Wow! What a CUTE quilt. Wonder where she got it!" Hope you're having a good weekend. I'll call you or write to you about getting together sometime this week? :)

I LOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE the litte ruffle! Oh man that's cute!

I had a shelf in the middle of a room like that and I put fabric on the back with those flat silver tacks. (folded for clean edges) It worked ok.

It would show off the bed even more painted glossy white. Not sure what to do about the tape though.....
The quilt is really cute! Good job!

hmmm....what to do, what to do..Thanks for the love regarding the shirt. I made Emily wear it to the the PX today and a lady walking by in the food court told me very excitedly how cute emily's shirt was! Made my day:)

Go for the wallpaper, or contact paper. Either plain white, or something with a subtle design, so it doesn't take away from the awesomeness of the quilt. Oh, and how did you do the arrow thingy? It's funny that you put it there, since it wasn't really necessary to know what you were talking about.

And I loved the animals...nice touch!

I have seen that bedding set on Pottery Barn and it made me think of you, how cool that you got it!!!! If you are worried about painting over the tape, maybe you could get a really thin sheet of plywood or something similar and paint that. They make that really thin stuff that places like ikea use for the backs of bookshelves for stability. I agree with Corinnea that glossy white to show off the quilt would be really nice. That shirt is really cute too! I am sending out the box Mon, do you want the shoes?

Yes on the shoes! I'm pretty sure they'll fit..maybe you should tell me the size. 39? then they'll fit. Too funny you thought of me regarding the bedding! I love it. I got Ava the bumper pads and sheets but not the quilt. That dresser is from Ikea! I'll see if I can get another piece. I'll have to make a trip to OBI.

I love your taste in everything. The shirt is so cute, but what doesn't look cute on Emily. The bedding is really freakin cute. I love pottery barn kids.
