The Hospital Stay that Wasn't!

We're back from the hospital and do not have to stay the night!!! All that worry for nothing. After sitting in the waiting room for 2.5 hours we were finally seen and then after another 1.5 hours of testing and waiting we were allowed to go home! We go back tomorrow for blood testing and to go over the EEG results. We got new meds that dissolve in water (it's about time as the crushing of the pill and putting it in yogurt twice a day was getting soooo old!) and new emergency meds that are NOT rectal!! It's a pill that dissolves instantly in the mouth. So no more problems at her school or from the bus driver about having to give her meds should she have a bad seizure. So all is good, Emily is good. Ava not so good. She was awful by the end of the visit. The ride home was terrible (longest 10 minutes of my life). Total drama about nothing.

Thanks for all the kind words about the hospital stay that wasn't:). If her results show something worth talking about, I'll post again tomorrow. Other wise. All is good! Here's some photos from today and a peek at the quilt I made my sister Julia just so I'm posting something crafty!

Beloved giraffe came along for support. Emily was once again so good.

Here's the quilt I made my sister. It's been quilted on the long arm since this picture was taken and I had intended on hand sewing the binding while in the hospital with Emily . I also made quilted shams with piping! They are so awesome (patting myself on the back here). When I'm done and my sister gets it, I'll have her take photos so you can see the whole thing together on her bed, in her room.Does anyone have ideas for a throw pillow to go along with this whole set? I was thinking soemthing with linen and some of the fabrics used in the quilt but I'm not sure what pattern. It has to go with the squares..

YAY for the non-hospital stay!! I hope that you get good news when you go back for the results tomorrow. Emily is such a trooper!

The quilt is gorgeous, those colors are lovely together! I want to see those shams, and what you come up with for her throw pillow. :)

I'm glad everyone is home and doing well.
As for the throw pillows, what about a stripe neck pillow with the strips going around the pillow. Also, you might try turning the squares on the diagnal with a ruffle. Also, a smaller version of the shams with the piping. Just a few thoughts.

Phewww! glad to hear Emily's hospital experience (and yours) wasn't as hard as in could have been. Still thinking "good thoughts" for the results...

So glad you didn't have to stay longer than a day! Emily looks so nervous in those pictures, but i'm glad she did well. Love the quilt, even after that short relationship i had with it. What a day, huh?

So good that you guys don't have to stay!!! That first pic in the hospital is so striking... it makes me think of stock photos. The colors are so vivid against the white... I know that's not what I should be thinking about, but that pic looks like an ad for the hospital or something!

You know I love the quilt! Did you see the linen pillow I made? I like it with that fabric line.

So glad little Emily and big Jennifer didn't have to stay overnight! What a relief! She looks like she's being so brave with all those nodes attached to her adorable little head! I'll be thinking good thoughts for you too, like everyone else. Hope everything else is good. How are you guys settling in? Or has all the settling already happened?

Oh good! I HATE staying in the hospital. I am glad that neither of you had to either. Also, I love, love, love the comforter for your sister and I am TOTALLY jealous. As for the pillow...how about linen with something lovely that you embroider? LY...Jen

Wow, great news! So glad you didn't have to go through a hospital stay....and Emily of course! I think you would have hated it more though!

Keep us posted on the results - fingers crossed all is good.

Love the quilt and can't wait to see it all on your sisters bed!

So glad you didn't have to stay! Very annoying that you had to be prepared and then it was all for nothing...
What a pretty quilt! Totally blanking on any good pillow ideas though : (

thanks everyone! We are SO glad to stay home instead. I heard, while we were there, that one room had 4 beds and one crib, the kids were co-ed and one of the mom's had nowhere to sleep. yay!
