Hanging bag

I made a tutorial! My 1st ever! Corinnea will be testing it and giving me feed back and after that I'll post it. The tutorial is for this hanging bag/bin thingy. Not sure what to call it...
Any name suggestions?

The cool thing about it is it has boning around the opening so it stays open. The reason I made it in the 1st place was becaues I had 3 seperate containers for trash, paper and plastic. I recycle in my sewing room. A lot. I'm always suprised at how much I throw away that could be recycled.

But you could use it for so many things...thread bin, scraps, trash container next to your computer, etc. and it's so easy to make!

Halloween came early this year..

Our basement flooded so I had to bring up stuff that got wet and wash them. This costume, my friend Dara sent EMily, was one of them and now Emily has it on all the time!
And then puts it on Ava..
This is not what emily is wearing for Halloween though!

Wow! I love it! I'll put my mind to work to come up with a creative name for it. I LOVE naming things I've (or others have) created. It makes it real, you know?

You should absolutely sell some at the shop!

P.S. I thought you hated making patterns??

My mom had a bag/bin like that... she hung it on the outside of the laundry basket, and kept clothes pins in it. Yours turned out great. :) Any tips for writing tutorials?? I'm still planning to make one for those strap guards.

They are really cool! I had seen something like this on another blog. I might have to do your tutorial when it is up and running. The girls are too funny! :)Sorry about your basement. I had the same problem last week. :(

Dig the bags. So what can you recycle when you sew? I toss everything so i would love to know. As for a name... I stink at this - The concious sewers recycle tote?
That costume is GREAT. The girls are so cute

Love the costume! They are so adorable!

That bin is great! I want to figure out a way to get one to hang somewhere in my car. How about Bitty Bins? I'm a sucker for alliteration, but I can't think of anything that means recycling that starts with "b."

Bitty Bins might work...hmm...Bin thingy is so me:)

Jess: i recycle, plastic from packaging, empty spools. Paper from packaging, empty bias tape cards...lots of things! My sewing room is my bedroom so I also recycle things like tags from new clothes and put used dryer sheets in the trash because I fold my laundry in there too. Am I the only one who has stuff to recycle in my sewing room??
