Weekender Travel Bag

My sisters birthday was yesterday so I can finally show her birthday present!! An Amy Butler Weekender Travel Bag . I can't remember the fabric line (Corinnea do you know?). Hopefully my sister will email a picture of her carrying it so I can post it. You have to click on each pictures to make it huge so you can fully appreciate the fabric and there's little metal feet on the bottom of it!

This is bag #4 I think. It gets easier every time especially since I do some things a little different than the pattern calls for to make it easier. I'm going to post pictures on flickr of a construction tip I have for making this bag.

The inside..

A new little (about 10 long"x 7"tall x 4" deep) bag for my purse. I got the tutorial from here. But I altered it just a little to be bigger. I also made it with french seams.

Japanese coated cotton lined in Robert Kaufman gingham.

Yesterday we went to a birthday party at an indoor playground.
It's called Kidzworld in Gaufelden.

Kayla the birthday girl and Emily .

A huge crocodile air slide.

If you weren't gifting so many of the bags I would be recommending an intervention right about now... hahaha! Really, I love seeing all of them. You have such good taste in fabric! Are you addicted to french seams now? I made a bag almost exactly like what you made (including the french seams) I just added a looped tab like on the others you've been making.

Like I said yesterday, everything that you post makes me think "I want one!" I love the weekender bag, especially the fabric that you chose. Very cool. ^_^

My kids loved the kinderwelt, but you know me...it was too much. You know too many people. It looks to me like it was pretty empty when you were there though. I love the bag for your sister and especially the little bag you made for yourself. It's with that Japanese fabric that I like so much. Miss you and enjoyed talking to you the other day. Jen

Love your weekender bag, and the small pouch is too cute, love the idea of being able to organize stuff in adorable little bags, if only I could sew like you guys...

Getting that bag meant a lot to me! I love everything you make me, and I am soooo proud of you! I just love that bag, and I can't say it enough. The detailing on it is beautiful, and it is impeccably made. Steve couldn't stop gushing over it! As soon as I pull myself away from the Olympics, I will gladly model with it :)
I love you!!!
