Puppet Show Shorts

This is a size 3 and the fabric is Recess by Moda. I'll be displaying them in the store with the hopes of motivating others:)

They went together, from cutting out the pieces to finishing, in two and a half hours (I know this for sure for once since I went to the store today to sew and I had no interruptions). I thought they were really easy, no area's I didn't understand. I love Oliver + S patterns. They are really well written and the designs are just adorable.

I think that they look better on a hanger than on Emily. But maybe that is because you can see the whole short on the hanger and not on her.

I made myself the Spring Ruffle Top finally (well, it's almost finished. I have to sew the straps in place). The fabric is blank textiles (that's all it says on the selvage) and a solid kona cotton. The ruffle is a little much. I'm not sure why. It looks cute in all the pictures I saw on flickr. I gave the top to Kelly because it's just not me. I don't wear sleeveless things at all unless I wear a cardigan over it or a t-shirt under. When she tried it on I wanted it back! But then I reminded myself that it didn't look right on me. I'm not giving up though. I think I'll try a different fabric and maybe take the ruffle off although I love it on everyone else's shirts.

The other day Mary A. emailed me a link to the most delicious brownie peanut butter cup recipe. I made them the next day and this is what they look like. Sooooo good!

And what's a post without a video? Here's Ava conquering Emily.

I love the shirt!!! (Even though it shows how fat my arms are) I will wear it proudly! :)

Are those the peanut butter things we ate the other day? OMG those were so good. I need to make some... but then above said fat arms can't take anymore!

Have I told you lately how much I love your babies? :)

The shirt, cute cute cute. Can't tell if it looks good on you or not cause there is no picture of you in it.

The shorts? DARLING with and without Emily in them!

Emily and Ava?? Hilarious! I know if Emily had wanted to she could have tossed Ava off, but she didn't and I love that she didn't.

Did you bring the brownie in????? I didn't get any!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The shorts are sooooo cute. You must make more!

I'm glad you liked the brownies. I really need to stay away from the baking blogs while I'm on a diet. They just make me so hungry! I'm now enjoying the baking blogs more than the crafting blogs. Soon people are going to be asking me when my twins are due.

Oh, and that Ava is just like Cecilia. I feel for Emily! Once she's old enough, I'll show her some tricks.

OMG that is exactly why I LOVE having two kids!!! Isn't it great! So entertaining :) That shirt is beautiful, and I'm sure it looked good on you, but I bet it's fabulous on Kelly, too!
I LOVE those shorts!! I think I need to order some of those patterns. I've not seen them for sale anywhere here. sigh... And that's what online is for!
Great post (though I'm NOT mentioning the brownies, because then I'd be thinking about them, and then I'd be gaining weight just thinking about them!) hehehe...
