A post about books and a movie.
these 3 children's books are my favorites! I like these two fairytale books because they are not what you think...
from Barnes & Noble: The prince is hoping to fall for Rapunzel, but since she can't quite hear what he asks for, everything but her hair gets tossed out her window. Instead of her curly locks, she throws her dirty socks. Instead of silky tresses, out go lacey dresses. And you can predict the guaranteed-to-crack-kids-up clothing she sends down when the prince simply says hair. . . .
(a gift from my sister, Julia, to Emily)
Waking Beauty:
from Barnes & Noble: Everyone knows Sleeping Beauty has to be woken with a kiss, except Prince Charming. Every time the fairies watching over her try to tell him, he interrupts with his ideas of how to wake her. Eventually he gets the message, and his reaction is priceless: "One hundred years of morning breath Wow! That could be the kiss of death!"
Treasury of picture book classics:
from Barnes & Noble: From early, beloved classics such as Goodnight Moon and Harold and the Purple Crayon to such recent treasures as If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and Pete's a Pizza, this collection assembles twelve of the greatest picture books ever published. Parents can share the joy of introducing young children to many timeless favorites that have already enchanted millions of readers.
(a gift from Jenny B. to Ava. this book is a huge hard back beautiful book. )
Haven't seen it (don't even know if it's out in the states) but thanks to Mary H. I know about it!

Those books sound really cute! I like the pictures to, a little scary though.
Alright a little creepy but I am sure they make sense if you watch the movie? Going to have to go find it!
Yes, they are creepy but they are so you and I mean that in a great way!!! Make the mats large so you really see the photo......
Love the book selections. I may need them for my library.
The books look really cute. I went to the website for the movie and I want to see it! Now the pictures make sense, but black is traditional! Haha!
Love the books! I'd be interested in seeing the fairy tale books, to see what they're like. I'm with everyone else, though: the button eyes are a little scary. Terribly cute, but still a little scary. :)
OMG!!! I just Googled Coraline, and found out that the guy who wrote the book (Neil Gaimon) Also wrote MirrorMask, which is one of my favorite movies ever and I didn't even know it was a book!!! Holy cow, now I want the MM book, and I'd like to read Coraline too...
