Yoki von Fearsome

Yoki the Dragon (aka Yoki von Fearsome) was started last summer while I was in San Diego. He came home with me with only a head some ears and arms. I finished him at the end of January and he is just now getting his day in the spotlight:). I love him. He is supposed to be fearsome (dragons are aren't they?) but just look at those sad little eyes and his ears pulled back. It reminds me of this book my sister got Emily for her 1st Christmas called, Who Wants a Dragon? . It's adorable! The dragon pattern is from here. The fleece is from Joann's and the black fabric is felt.

I thought the instructions were awful. I feel bad saying that but it's true. Or at least it was when I bought the pattern which was about 2008 or 2009? Not sure but it was a long time ago and the pattern could have been revised since then. The instructions were vague, things were left out. But I was able to make it and I guess that's what counts? I did buy more fleece to someday make a pink one and a purple one.

Bravo! He is gorgeous. And the pattern is still awful. I have been modifying it for the past month and still am not 100% happy with it.
