She's 4!

Friday was Emily's 4th birthday (and my Aunts and her mother's and Leah's..Happy Birthday!)

How cute is this cake? I showed Mary A. what I wanted and she duplicated it! It looks just like the picture. It was super good too. Thanks Mary, I LOVE LOVE LOVED it!

Emily only ate specks of the icing. She still doesn't eat chocolate, candy, ice cream, etc. Crazy!

She got a checkup and shots on her actual birthday:) (Ava did too). That night she opened presents from family. I'll post another time all that stuff and a picture of the really cool crocheted things my Aunt Karen sent her and Ava (made by Tina)!

Yesterday (Saturday) was her party at the store. Everyone painted pottery, then she opened presents and had cake. She received lots of dinosaur things from us and her friends.

Hard to believe I birthed that little angel 4 years ago.

I can't put into words how much I love her. It's just not possible.

Before I had children I always said I only wanted girls.

I wanted to do for them what I lost out on, with my mom dying when I was 5.

I got exactly what I wanted.. twice!

I am the luckiest girl in the world:)

The Suburban Monster

The Monster print is from Me, Mary and Hannah and it was framed by Cory, etc.

When I was pregnant with Ava I found this print on Etsy. I wanted it soooo bad for Emily and the new baby's room and the other print that goes with it. I never got around to buying it though. A while after Kara got pregnant I stumbled across this print again and thought it would make a good shower gift for her! The mat is a gorgeous green linen and the frame is black. I am sooo in love with it! I hope she is too..I know art can be very personal...

Happy baby shower..day..Kara! Hope you like your print! ahhh man! I forgot to take a picture of the onesie I embroidered for her! She is having a onesie decorating party and since I'm in London (!) right now, I made one last week. Hopefully she will post a picture. It's from this Sublime Stitching pattern.

Do you know Paul Cano and Pam Cakes?

No, those aren't our porn names:) I'm talking about volcano's and pancakes! Here's a video of Emily playing "what is it?". She was hung up on volcano's this game and would only describe and guess volcano's. Paul-cano's made me think of pam-cakes which we had for lunch today so I had to share that she also calls those a funny name too. Oh, she also says padda-purder (or something like that) for caterpillar.

Random

Here's a bib I made to keep from mushroom fabric (for some reason you can't super size the image). I think I'll make a matching diaper/wipe holder and changing pad. The bib is fabric I have that I covered in iron-on vinyl. This stuff is of inferior quality when you see it next to the other fabrics that already have the vinyl on them. The apron is a special order for an adult! My 1st adult vinyl apron. I trimmed it in bias tape rather than just fold the edges over like I usually do. I think I like this better. the only problem is it makes the cost of the apron higher because it uses almost a whole package of bias tape.
